Despite my best efforts, I sometimes glance at LED based devices and think “Oh, I shouldn’t leave that on, it might burn out” (like an incandescent bulb).
I wonder if younger people (born post LED lighting) will have any notion of bulbs going bad.

Just bought a second Mac Mini M4 for my other bench (sigh, black friday deals). Honestly, it’s an amazing computer and can handle anything I have thrown at it. Now we’ll see how it does streaming video from many angles. No sweat, I bet.
Trying out Gemini 3 for a website project I’m working on and while I appreciate being able to follow the steps its taking, the “thinking” aspect where it talks through and confirms/denies logical elements feels uncanny for some reason.

For a while when consulting, I trained myself to write a troubleshooting log into my daily journal, using it as a conversational partner about all the things going wrong. Basically “rubber ducking”, but in writing. I’d like to get back to that place.
