Watching my parents interact with technology has come a somewhat anthropological exercise. We have entirely different modes of operation and targeting by external entities. I have no doubt the chasm will be the same for me and my kids.

The nice thing about centralizing all your dev boards and SIM cards and SD cards is they’re all together in the same place so you know where to find things. The less nice thing is when you lose track of that centralized location of all those things…

Found out last night that Vimeo is likely being bought out by private equity (specifically the group that bought and worsened Evernote and Meetup). Well there’s a bunch of migration work I need to do now.

It’s amazing thinking about how different my web browsing experience is thanks to ‘algorithmic steering’. In a positive light, I find content that I might not have otherwise…but wouldn’t the aggregation-focused creators have gotten me there instead?
