Listen, I know it’s an m3 screw, but literally stepping on Allen wrench that’s the right size as I’m headed to find a tool that will work with it….feels like fate, right? Also that I should clean my lab more

Despite my interest in 3D printing, I often get hung up on larger/stronger designs that would benefit from some off-the-shelf components. This video about aluminum extrusion is a good starting point

Almost certainly there’s a metaphor in here about the messiness of hardware development, but I’m much too busy picking up shrink tubing to be able to make it

As a corallary to this morning’s post, nothing focuses in on what really matters like showing the demo to other people. Basically the electronics version of “no plan survives contact with the enemy” (except, you know, not an enemy)

Nothing focused in on the “oh I haven’t implemented that important feature” quite like getting hardware ready to take for a live demo

Great video today from Laura Kampf about her inner dialog when making new videos and starting new projects.

Even the greats need to have this kind of positive self-talk and reorienting of natural negative thoughts before diving into something new. Enjoyed mapping it onto the electronics space I work in as well.
